Emily McCarthy is living in fear of a dark and dangerous past. A gifted mathematician, she is little more than a hollow, broken shell, trying desperately to make ends meet long enough to finish her degree.
Through an unlikely friendship with the aging, cantankerous owner of an old boxing gym, Em is thrown into the path of the most dangerous man that she has ever met.
Cormac “the Hurricane” O’Connell is cut, tattooed and dangerous. He is a lethal weapon with no safety and everyone is waiting for the mis-fire. He’s never been knocked out before, but when he meet Em he falls, HARD. Unlike any other girl he’s ever met, she doesn’t want anything from him, but just being around her makes him want to be a better person.
They are polar opposites who were never meant to find each other, but some things are just worth the fight.

What could be better than a story about a hot, tattooed,Irish boxer? I absolutely loved this story. The characters and storyline are fantastic and the writing is amazing. From start to finish this book grabs your attention and has you cheering for the Hurricane. Within this story of a boxer realizing his dream is a story of a girl trying to learn to live again. With the help of an aging and grumpy gym owner, she regains her confidence and begins to build a life she never dreamed she would have. Even with her dark past lingering in the shadows, Emily begins to realize that she can build a new life surrounded by these rough and loveable men. The supporting characters are all amazing and well written in the story. I want to get to know each and every one of them. Add in her crazy friends from school and you have a truly fantastic story. Congratulations R.J Prescott on an amazing story and I hope to read more from you soon.

Oh how I have missed O'Connell, Em and all the guys from the gym!! I completely fell in love with the entire gang in the first book and could not wait to find out what they have been up too. R.J Prescott is an amazing new writer. The characters she has created are truly fantastic an you cannot help but love them all and want to know more about them. Em and O'Connell are wonderful characters that compliment each other perfectly. Where one is weak the other is strong and they rely on each other to give strength and encouragement. Each member of the team has a important roll in creating the fighters both Con and Em are. One in the ring and one outside the ring. Danny is such a wonderful father figure in both books. He is grumpy and gruff but you can feel how much he loves his boys and Em.
There are so many different parts to this story and each one is a fight all on its own. The author has created strong characters that aren't just strong in body but also in heart and mind. I love this series and cannot wait to read more about this wonderful family!!
