Pieces Lost (Devil Call MC - Talon & Everly #2) by Ana W. Fawkes
Talon's confession to Everly quickly feels like a mistake. He fears he has pushed her into Layne's caring arms even more, and all he can hope is that she doesn't end up in his bed.
Before Talon can claim the Devil Call MC President's patch, he must take care of old debts, including settling scores with those who wanted him dead in prison.
When pieces of the past begin to collect, the present begins to crumble... and Talon is forced to realize that being free doesn't guarantee his safety
Manda's 3.5 Star Review
After being release from prison Talon returns to his MC to find everything out of control. His main focus should be setting things strait but he cannot help being distracted by Everly. After making his confession to Everly he feels as though he has pushed her strait to Layne. With everything spinning out of control Talon is determined to start setting things right before he loses his club and his girl.
After reading book one I was not a big fan of Talon and I have to say after reading this book he still isn't my favorite character. However, there is so much to this story and so many secrets I could not put it down. I cannot wait to find out what happens next. Ana Fawkes has a fantastic gift with telling a story in such a way that keeps you on the edge and keeps you coming back for more. Her characters are dark and flawed, but you know there is so much more to them than what we have seen so far. I cannot wait for the next book!!
INSIDE BROKEN (A Devil Call MC Book) (Talon & Everly Book One) (Volume 1) by Ana W. Fawkes
Fresh out of prison, Talon wants his club back. Losing the President’s patch has left a scar deeper than any bullet or knife is capable of.
To get it back, he’ll have to endure a war, battling both himself and someone he once considered as close as a brother.
And in the midst is a beautiful woman looking for a chance at survival...
Manda's 3 Star Review
The only thing Talon can think about after getting released from prison is getting back to his club. Before going to prison Talon was the president of the Devil Call MC while inside he relied on his brother Layne to take care of the club, but now its time for him to return to his rightful place. As soon as he steps outside of the prison the problems with the MC become apparent and not only that but he also comes face to face with the beautiful Everly. He has no idea what her story is but he can't deny that he wants her. She seems to have a connection to Layne but he knows she will be his. Talon has so much to deal with after his return but he is determined to get his club back and make Everly his.
I love MC books and have been a fan of Ana Fawkes previous work so I really couldn't wait to read this. I liked the storyline and was really looking forward to getting to know the characters. The further into the story I got the less I liked Talon and had a hard time connecting with the characters. When I read a book I really get into the back-story of the characters and what makes them who they are. As this is the first book it is more about setting up who the characters are and less about what got them to where they are. That is the reason I gave this a 3 star. I know there is so much more to come and really look forward to finding out more about the characters and where this journey takes them. Looking forward to what comes next.
