Out of the Ashes (Maji #1)by L.A. Casey
For Nova, a twenty-three-year-old survivalist, wandering a barren wasteland was a lonely existence. But her day-to-day life was about to drastically change forever. Gone were the days when her only worries were rabid animals, augmented humans, the unforgiving scorching sun, and rogue watchmen. Now, Nova found herself faced with a new threat, and he was tall, grey, and horribly stubborn.
For Kol, a two-hundred-year-old daredevil, sailing the never-ending waves of deep space was a vast and thrilling life to lead. He had one objective on Earth—rescue as many human females as possible and return them to his home planet. It was supposed to be simple, but no one told Kol that a human female’s tongue could slice a male like a blade. His charge was short, strikingly attractive, and she talked way too much.
Nova wasn’t going to be kidnapped without putting up a fight, but Kol was more than ready to go toe to toe with her. These two species set out on a collision course that would redefine the phrase "The Big Bang" forever.

I would just like to say how much I love L.A Casey and her fantastic work. This is not a book I would have picked up had it not had her name attached to it. I have a huge dislike for all things alien and never had any intention of reading anything alien related. Here's the thing though, when one of your favorite authors writes a book in a new genre you get curious and have to check it out. I am so glad I didn't let my issue deter me from reading this book. I loved this book and I mean like re-read kind of loved it. As this is my first book of this nature I have to say it was refreshing to read something unlike anything I have ever read before. It totally took me out of the same ol 'same ol' kind of funk I was in.
A new genre for this author does not mean we lose any of the magic that made her previous books so addicting. The story and characters are fantastic and impossible not to get lost in. Nova is a fantastic character who has lived a life that taught her to run to survive. She has this vulnerability about her that makes her relatable but also this strength that you admire in a heroine. Gotta say I was totally digging Kol. I loved the relationship he has with his family and I love that to me he is similar to a certain group of brothers we are familiar with and love. Not only did Kol and Nova completely catch my interest but so did the rest of the characters. I want more of this series and I cannot wait until we get more. So in closing I just want to say that I’m so happy that I love this author enough to try something new with her. I am excited to re-read this and looking forward to what comes next!!
Until Harry by L.A. Casey
He was my best friend, my best not-really-big-brother, and my best protector.
He was my best everything.
He was mine.
Coming home is hard for Lane. Hard because Harry, her beloved uncle, has died suddenly, but also because of him. Kale.
Kale Hunt has been her best friend since childhood. But it was never that simple. He was Lane’s reason for leaving home and moving to New York. Seeing him with someone else, in love with someone else, shouldn’t have hurt. But it did. It really, really did. So she upped sticks and left, started a new life and cut herself off from her past.
But now she’s back, and all the feelings are right there. As if she had never left.
Emotions are running high for everyone, and tragedy has a funny way of bringing people together. But is Lane reading the signs right? Are they still just friends, or is there something more?
Manda's 5 Star Review
L.A Casey has once again captured our hearts with beautifully written characters and and amazing and emotional story. I can't seem to get enough of this authors work. Each book released just gets better and better. As always the writing is superb and the storyline is well developed and pulls you in from the very start. This author has an amazing gift for storytelling and it is impossible not to fall head over heels for the worlds she creates.
Lane and Kale have a long history. Once they were the best of friends and then as time past it all fell apart. Now years have past and tragedy has reunited them. These 2 characters each carry their own baggage and regrets. There is so much unsaid between them and the emotions are running high. I absolutely love the way this story plays out and I love the emotions it brings out of it's readers. Such a great book and definitely my new favorite from this author!!
Also I have to say I have never read a book quite like this before in the sense that I fell in love with a character just by hearing other characters speak about them. That was something wonderful to experience. To be able to feel the love and connection to a character without actually meeting them is a testament to how talented this author is. Until Harry is a must read!!

Frozen by L.A. Casey
There’s one must-have toy this Christmas, and Neala Clarke has told her niece Charli she’ll get it for her. Never mind that she’s got less than a week and it looks like everywhere is sold out. She’s promised Charli a Fire Princess doll—and Neala is a woman of her word.
Darcy Hart is a people-pleaser. So when his adorable six-year-old nephew, Dustin, asks for a particular doll at the last minute, he says yes. Luckily for Darcy, there’s one left in stock at the local toy store. Unluckily for Darcy, he’s not the only person who wants it—and his rival is the one woman who’s immune to his charms.
Neala and Darcy have loved to hate each other since they were kids, and they’re both willing to do whatever it takes to get that doll. This can’t possibly end well for both of them…can it?
Revised edition: This edition of Frozen includes editorial revisions.

L.A. Casey is one of my go to authors. I am completely in love with her Slater Brothers series and was very excited to jump into something new. I always get a little nervous when starting something new by a favorite author. I'm always worried my expectations are going to be impossible to reach and I wont care for the new work. I should not have been nervous at all with this author because her gift for creating amazing characters and stories is just unbelievable. I love Darcy and Neala and their meddling families. I think the progression of the the storyline and development of the characters was incredible. As always this story was a mix of hilarious and heartwarming. The things their families do to get them to get along may be done with the best of intentions, but are a little crazy. I think this was a wonderful addition to this authors work and I highly recommend reading it.

Ryder (Slater Brothers #4) by L.A. Casey
Branna Murphy is broken. For months now she has been a part of a one-sided relationship to a man she loves more than life itself. She prayed for a miracle, and hoped something would change, but found that was wishful thinking.
Talking didn’t work. Shouting didn’t work. Crying didn’t work. Nothing bloody worked.
Ryder Slater is furious. For months now he has been lying to a woman he would take a bullet for in order to protect her. He is involved in something that goes deeper than his old past, and if he strays off target, people will start to die. People he loves.
He couldn’t talk. He couldn’t slip up. He couldn’t lose focus. He couldn’t do a damn thing.
Things between Ryder and Branna are at rock bottom, and Ryder knows it. Not only will he be taking on a force that could destroy his whole family, but he will be battling tooth and nail to save his relationship and keep the love of his life by his side.
Ryder targeted Branna from the first moment he saw her, and what Ryder targets, Ryder dominates.
Manda's 5 Star Review
Wow!! Seems like I have been waiting forever for Ryder and Branna's story, but it was well worth the wait. This series gets better and better as each new book comes out. I was excited to read this one because Branna and Ryder are the original couple that brought everyone else together and the mother and father figure to their siblings. They always put their family first and take care of those around them even when it causes their relationship to suffer. I knew this one was going to be an emotional roller coaster and I knew it was going to make me cry. I absolutely love these 2 and didn't want to see them struggle.
My favorite part about this series is that it keeps you on your toes. So much happens in this book that I was not expecting. L.A Casey is such an amazing author and has created this amazing series that I never want to end. I have loved each brother and have absolutely adored reading their stories but this one is my favorite so far. Now I am really looking forward to reading Damien since I know these books get better with each one.

AIDEEN (Slater Brothers #3.5) by L.A. Casey
Aideen Collins is fed up. She is at her wits’ end with her eon long pregnancy, her new-found paranoia, but mostly she is fed up with her boyfriend’s constant hovering and nit-picking.
Kane Slater is happier than ever. He is about to become a father for the first time with the woman he loves. Little does he know that Aideen is both literally and figuratively a ticking time bomb. He just has to survive a few more weeks of murderous hormonal outbursts, and all will be well… or so he hopes.
They’re both caught up with the expected arrival of their little one, but in the back of their minds is a shadow that won’t fade away. Neither of them talk about it, but the shadow’s lingering presence casts doubt over their relationship.
Big Phil worked his way into their minds many weeks ago and rooted himself as the haunting figure. Without even trying, he ruins things and causes problems. He watches them from afar, hoping he can break their family.
Aideen’s instincts to protect her own are stronger than ever. If Big Phil wants to hurt those dearest to her, he is going to have one hell of a fight on his hands.
Aideen worships Kane, and what Aideen worships, Aideen shelters

Once again L.A Casey has created a fabulous story that is hilarious, sweet and serious all at the same time. The writing in fantastic and it will make you love Kane and Aideen even more than you already did. The book gets very emotional and has a good bit of serious to it, but in true L.A Casey form it also has so many funny parts that you will be laughing out loud. I love how with each of these in between books we get a good dose of all the characters and not just the title characters. This series is one of my favorites and I fall a little more in love with it with each new book. I CANNOT wait or the next book. The tease we get at this end of this one will have you on the edge of your seat!!

Kane (Slater Brothers #3) by L.A. Casey
Aideen Collins is a free spirit. She is outspoken and tough as nails, but she has to be after growing up in a house full of men. Family means everything to Aideen. Her family consists of her four brothers, her father, and her group of wild friends. Aideen is protective of her family, there is not a lot she wouldn’t do to keep them safe.
Kane Slater is a tortured soul. Literally. He is misunderstood by people, even feared by them thanks to the scars that mar his face and body. He relishes in their fear because people who fear you, won’t want to know you. He likes his circle limited to his brothers and their girlfriends, but a thorn from an Irish rose is dug deep into Kane’s side, and her name is Aideen Collins.
Aideen and Kane don’t get along… at all. Aideen is the only woman who stands up to Kane and throws his bullshit back at him without fear of hurting him. Kane is the only man who can see right through Aideen's tough exterior. He knows her deepest, and darkest secrets. They can’t stand each other, but they want each other. Badly. They hide their need behind arguments, and banter, but when Kane drops his guard for all to see, and succumbs to an illness within his body, it’s Aideen who steps up to the plate to take care of him.
An illness is the least of their worries when a devil from Kane’s past comes back to play with him. Everybody in Kane’s life is threatened, and with his body fighting against him, he doesn’t know if the luck of the Irish is enough to keep his family safe and his demons at bay.
Kane needs Aideen, and what Kane needs, Kane takes
Manda's 4 Star Review
I absolutely adore the Slater brothers!! Each story gets better and better. L.A Casey has a real talent for writing. Her characters are always so deep and interesting. From the second I started this series I could not wait for all the brothers to get their stories written. I love the amazing relationship the brothers share. Each one has his own way to deal with their troubled past and would do anything to take care of each other.
Kane was by far the most mysterious brother. Covered in scars and quiet and broody. I just knew he was going to have one hell of a story to share. Kane has been the one I was most curious about since the beginning.
Then there are the woman of the series. Each one is tough and ready to put these brothers in their place when needed but they also bring out the best in them. Aideen may have had a lot going on but she was not afraid to set Kane or any of the brothers strait. The way she interacts with Kane is absolutely beautiful.
There is so much to love about this book. It's funny and engaging as well as emotional.
The writer does such an amazing job of making me love the Slater brothers even more than I did before. Congrats L.A Casey on yet another hit and I cannot wait to read the next book!! Absolutely 100% recommend this book. If you haven’t started the series then do so right away, you will not regret it!!

Review: Dominic (Slater Brothers #1) by L.A Casey
After a car accident killed her parents when she was a child, Bronagh Murphy chose to box herself off from people in an effort to keep herself from future hurt. If she doesn't befriend people, talk to them or acknowledge them in any way they leave her alone just like she wants.
When Dominic Slater enters her life, ignoring him is all she has to do to get his attention. Dominic is used to attention, and when he and his brothers move to Dublin, Ireland for family business, he gets nothing but attention. Attention from everyone except the beautiful brunette with a sharp tongue.
Dominic wants Bronagh and the only way he can get to her, is by dragging her from the boxed off corner she has herself trapped in the only way he knows how...by force.
Dominic wants her, and what Dominic wants, Dominic gets.
**Due to the strong language and sexual content in this book, it is recommended for readers aged 18 and up**

L.A Casey is a fantastic writer and I will definitely be impatiently awaiting the next book.
Mag's 5 Star Review:
Oh, this is your typical girl meets boy book, where girl falls for boy and they live happily ever after. Okay I lied. It’s totally not even close.
This book will have your laughing till you either cry or pee yourself. This book will leave you all hot and bothered from some unbelievably hot alpha males, and most importantly this book will have you forgetting your own name because it sucks you in that much.
Bronagh Murphy has walls bigger than the Great Wall of China, and uses them to protect herself from ever getting hurt again. With the use of her sarcastic whit and amazing comebacks Bronagh has successfully kept everyone away. That is until one smart mouthed American boy transfers to her school, and she silently turned upside down.
Dominic is the center of attention where ever he goes, whether it’s in the ring, at school, or with the ladies. So when he and his brothers move to Ireland he expects everything to be the same. Too bad he has never met anyone quite like the feisty brunette. Dominic decides he will do whatever he has to do in order to get her, even if that’s through force. The only thing he didn’t factor in was the feelings that would soon over power his thoughts.
This was my first true “fighter” book and it sealed the deal for that category of books. I was hooked from the very first chapters. The characters were so hilarious! Multiple times I found myself reading with a huge grin on my face. It was by far one of the funniest books I’ve read. Bronagh is strong willed and has sarcasm for days. I loved how she was who she was and wouldn’t apologize for it.
“Are you going to stare at my brothers all day or are you going to come with me?” Dominic asked in an impatient tone. “If that is a legit question, I vote to stay here and stare at your brothers all day.”
Dominic is an intense, protective, sexy fighter, who also knows what he wants and doesn’t change that for anyone.
“I more than like you but don’t feel near love yet, so I put the word love and like together and got live so I live you. I’m in live with you, pretty girl.”
This book grabbed me from the beginning and I CAN NOT wait until the next one in the series. It was an marvelous debut novel for L.A Casey!
