Our Kinda Love (What Kinda Love #2)by Deanna Eshler
Keegan Hughes is a fiercely independent, and annoyingly honest, college senior who believes in the zombie apocalypse. Her “unique qualities” entertain her friends and, unfortunately, attracts the attention of her new neighbor, Adrian Elliott.
Having been left behind by other men in her life, Keegan vowed to never trust another guy with her happiness. She'll take what she wants from them, but they only get what she's willing to give. When Adrian slams into her life, he tramples all over her rules and boundaries, constantly throwing her off balance
Keegan can't deny her physical attraction to Adrian, but his hyperactive, slightly delusional personality, is very unlike her usual type—confident, tattooed, alpha male. When Adrian makes a proposal that could benefit them both, Keegan knows it's a horrible idea, but can't resist his plea for her help.
Neither of them are prepared for the storm that's created when their two very intense personalities come together. Will Keegan get the hell out before Adrian destroys every boundary she creates? If she stays, can Adrian get through his own real-life demons to be the first man in her life to make her a priority?

I totally have a girl crush on Deannna Eshler. I absolutely loved this book! When I first read Shy Kinda Love I was already half in love with Keegan and Adrian. I could not wait to read their story and get more into their particular brand of crazy. I was right to be excited for this book. Crazy +crazy= perfect with Keegan and Adrian. Both characters are completely over the top and funny and the relationships they have with their friends and each other are so full of sarcasm and love that you cannot help but laugh. The thing I love most about this book is that not only do we get to laugh at their crazy antics, but we also get to know what has made them the way they are. Both have emotional stories and carry heavy burdens that they try to hide. Their stories are heartbreaking and weigh heavily on them. I spent as much time laughing as I did mentally yelling at the characters for all the emotional turmoil they put each other through. From start to finish this book is full of humor and heart. I cannot say enough about how much I loved their story. Deanna Eshler is an amazing writer and I cannot get over how well her stories flow for being a new author. I was beyond impressed with her writing skill in book one and once again she did not disappoint. I am definitely a fan and look forward to reading more from her in the future. This is a series you do not want to miss!!!!
Shy Kinda Love by Deanna Eshler
When I was eleven, my best friend died in a car accident. When I was twelve, my mom walked out, leaving only a note to say goodbye. When I was eighteen, I was forced into witness protection.
My new name is Shyanne Adams. To protect myself, and painless existence, I do not live. I do not laugh. I do not love. For the last three years, the only meaningful thing I’ve done is care for the horse I rescued.
But now, at the age of twenty-one, the one person from both my past and present is pushing me to start living. Before I know it, I’m moving in with new friends who make me laugh. And next door is Kade Cross, the guy who wants me to love.
Kade knows that I will complicate his life, but he welcomes the challenge. He sees that I’m broken, but he doesn’t try to fix me. When he knows I’m trying to push him away, he braces for the impact.
What Kade doesn’t know is that I could have to relocate at any time. So I have to decide: is experiencing love for a short time worth the pain of losing it?
This New Adult Romance is an emotional journey through pain and healing as Shyanne decides to start living again, but never forgetting she could lose this life… just like her last one.
Manda's 5 Star Review
I am completely blown away by this book. I cannot believe this is the first book from this author. The writing is fantastic and the storyline is complex and completely compelling. From the very beginning I was hooked and could not put it down. Not only is this book about a young girl forced to hide from a past that never should of happened but it is also about learning to trust again and finding out who you truly are.
The main character Shyanne is such a complex and heartbreaking character. Haunted by her past she forces herself into solitude until the only friend she has forces her out of the house for a night of fun. That is when we meet some of the most fantastic supporting characters I have read in a long time. Keegan and Gemma are truly hilarious and such good and loyal friends. Add in Adrian and Max to the mix and you have a story that is both humorous and heartbreaking. Then there is Kade! What an amazing character. So patient and kind and determined. Even when things really fall apart he just gets it. I fell in love with him almost from the beginning. The things he says and does in the story are just beautiful.
There is so much I want to say about this book but I don't want to give anything away. I laughed and cried my eyes out and just completely fell in love with the story and the characters. Bottom line is this is a fantastic book by a phenomenal new author. I cannot wait to read what she comes out with next. This is truly a gifted writer and I just cannot believe this is her first book. Congratulation Deanna Eshler on a fantastic start to what I hope is many more books!!
