Manda's 4 Star Review
I had a little trouble getting into this story at first. I wasn't feeling the same connection with the characters that I had in the first book. It didn't last long though because by a third of the way through I was beginning to get the connection back. There are a lot of twists and turns in this book to keep you interested and as the story progressed I found it difficult to put down. Elizabeth and Ryan have been through so much together and the hardest challenges face them in this book. There are so many times in the story that I wanted to yell at the characters for the choices they make and to me that is the sign of a good story. If you care enough about the characters to get angry then you are reading a good book. If you enjoyed the first book then you definitely do not want to miss this book.
Flawed and Damaged (Damaged Hearts) by Emily Krat
Two people haunted by their past…
The collision of two damaged hearts…
Meet Elizabeth Williams. She is at the airport on an important work assignment. If everything goes smoothly, after three years of hard work, she’ll get a promotion and a much-needed raise. Elizabeth is putting her life back on track after it was ripped out from under her feet four years ago when she lost her parents along with all her dreams. Standing here, she believes her life is going to change for the better any moment now. Nothing can go wrong, right?
Meet Ryan Price. He came to Moscow on business. Right now, Ryan is standing at the airport looking at a ‘present’ from his brother, judging by the sign a beautiful young woman is holding. Damn his brother for not cancelling this arrangement as Ryan asked.
Miscommunications and misunderstandings and a brilliant but painful love story begins.
There will be a scary flight, lovely breakfasts, long evening conversations, sharing a secret or two, discovering one another, a lot of laughter, tender moments and some tears, a fight and, of course, the I-am-ready-for-the-end-of-the-world kiss.
Somewhere along the way, they won’t be able to fight their feelings any longer.
For the first time in his life, Ryan will experience a different shade of lust. And for the first time in her life, Elizabeth will have to trust despite all of the times she has been hurt.
Will these two wounded lost souls find love, peace and comfort in each other or will they just break each other more? Is it a train wreck of a love story or a happily ever after?

Manda's 4 Star Review
Elizabeth Williams has been given her first important work assignment and she knows how important this is for her future. To show her boss she deserves the raise she has asked for and to show how responsible she can be. All she has to do is pick up the potential investors at the airport and see them to their hotel and the meeting. This is the moment she knows her life is going to change. After the tragic death of her parents and a move that took her to live with her granny in Moscow this is exactly what she needs to get back on track. As she nervously awaits the email from her boss explaining the the details and praying her cell phone doesn’t die before she receives it she is approached by the most handsome man she has ever met. He seems angry and broody and irritated by her holding a sign with his company name on it. Determined to do this assignment to the best of her ability Elizabeth decides it best not to engage him with small talk and just get him to his destination
Ryan Price hates to travel. He prefers to handle everything for his company from New York, and let his brother handle all the traveling. This time he has no choice and finds himself in Moscow for business. As a gift his brother arranges of an “assistant” to pick him up from the airport and help him with whatever he needs. Ryan has no interest in this gift from his brother and plans to take care of work and leave immediately. When he approaches the beautiful young woman holding the sign with his brothers nickname on it he is surprised. She is not at all what he expected but he still has no interest keeping her around.
After a terrible misunderstand Elizabeth finds herself more lost than she was before and Ryan finds himself feeling guilty an emotion he has never bothered to feel before. A strange relationship is formed that could be mutually beneficial. However with all the lies and misunderstands that that surround them things get extremely complicated until they both reach their breaking points
This book was not at all what I expected. From reading the blurb I had a good idea where the story was going to go, but it was so much more than I expected. Elizabeth and Ryan are fantastic characters and the storyline is deep. 2 complicated individuals dealing with their own demons and trying to deal with one another at the same time. So many miscommunications and misunderstandings surround them as well as some lies and mistrust. They struggle to navigate this strange relationship with the help of a cute kitten, a meddling brother, and a loving friend. Between Elizabeth's smart mouth and Ryan's temper its one crazy ride. I really loved the story and cannot wait for the next book. Fantastic job Emily Krat!! I definitely look forward for what comes next.
