As Reapers Motorcycle Club president, Reese “Picnic” Hayes has given his entire life to the club. After losing his wife, he knew he’d never love another woman. And with two daughters to raise and a club to manage, that was just fine with him. These days, Reese keeps his relationships free and easy—he definitely doesn’t want to waste his time on a glorified cleaning lady like London Armstrong.
Too bad he’s completely obsessed with her.
Besides running her own business, London’s got her junkie cousin’s daughter to look after—a more reckless than average eighteen-year-old. Sure she’s attracted to the Reapers’ president, but she’s not stupid. Reese Hayes is a criminal and a thug. But when her young cousin gets caught up with a ruthless drug cartel, Reese might be the only man who can help her. Now London has to make the hardest decision of her life—how far will she go to save her family?
This is one of my favorite series!! I have been patiently waiting for Picnic's story and I was not disappointed!! I have loved all of the Reapers so far but Picnic is definitely my favorite. He isn't interested in becoming a one woman man but when he lays eyes on the woman who does some cleaning for is club, he can't seem to forget about her. London has her hands full taking care of her cousins troubled daughter and trying to run a successful cleaning business. London has noticed Picnic but knows better than to get mixed up with a man like him. That is until one night when she finds herself in need of his help. That one night changes everything and leads them on one wild ride.
If you have not started this series I highly suggest you check this one out. From the very beginning this book pulls you in and keeps you hooked until the last page. This is definitely my favorite of the series and I cannot say enough about it. This is a must read. Fantastic job Joanna Wylde I am a huge fan!!!
Mag's 4.5 Star Review
Each one of Joanna’s books have drawn me to them in some way, but Pic’s story completely owned me. There is just something about a rough older biker that gets me every time. Pic has this way about him that just made me want to get to know him more. In the previous books we started to know his story, but never fully got inside his head. After loosing his wife, Pic never wanted to settle down and look for a new old lady again nor did he really want anything more than a couple good nights with a chick, but fate has a funny way of showing up just when you least expect it and her name is London.
This story is one of the best biker books I have read. I laughed so hard and the relationship, or lack there of, between Pic and London. Pic is amazing. I just love him. This book will grip you from the very beginning and leave you wanting a whole lot more at the end! A great freaking job from Joanna!
“Okay, let’s get some shit straight and then you can head out.” Great, here it came. The Talk. Fortunately I was ahead of him for once.
“Don’t worry, Reese. I know this was just a one-off for you, and that you don’t want a relationship. That’s what I needed, too, so in a way it’s perfect. No harm, no foul. We can just pretend this never happened.”
A scowl covered his face. “What the fuck are you talking about?”
“Us. Or rather, the fact that there isn’t an ‘us.’ I get it—you like to sleep around. I had a good time, but I’m not expecting a ring or anything.”
His eyes widened, and I smirked.
“Although I’ll be around if you want another booty call,” I added slyly.
Yay me! I’m a sophisticated woman who knows the difference between love and sex.
Reese’s scowl grew deeper, and then suddenly he moved and I was under him, pinned down against the bed. He pulled my hands up, holding them prisoner above my head.
“Are you fucked in the head?” he demanded harshly. “You get laid for the first time in years, it’s phenomenal—”
“Well, aren’t you the modest one?”
“It’s phenomenal,” he repeated, emphasizing the word heavily. “And now you’re just going to ignore me? I am not fuckin’ down with that.”
